One hundred and fifty of Ukrainian troops, which escaped to the Russian territory, turned their guns against their former masters and joined Novorossiya resistance, said the new Prime Minister of Donetsk Republic Alexander Zakharchenko.
“They joined our army, because they appreciate our care, it is nobler than their commanders,” – said Zakharchenko on Thursday at a press conference in Donetsk.
He also said that Novorossiya armed forces (NAF) had captured 18 “Grad” launchers, lots of tanks and APCs, abandoned by junta troops.
On Monday night more than 400 Ukrainian troops, who were surrounded escaped to Rostov region of Russia. Most of them were later sent back to Ukraine, about 50 remain in a camp in Rostov region.
